Ben Wang

MBA, BSc (Hons)

Ben Wang is an experienced marketer in banking, insurance and education industries. He holds an MBA qualification from the School of Graduate Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is teaching in several reputable education institutions focused on areas such as management, business analysis, marketing and entrepreneurship. He is committed towards student success and coaches students on relevant exam techniques in passing exams.

Chan Tze Kang

FCCA, BFP ACA, CA(M)

Apart from being a Head of Professional Accountancy Centre, Chan has been delivering the Strategic Performance Management and Strategic Financial Management subjects for various professional accountancy programs such as ACCA, CAT, CIMA, QP (HK) for more than 20 years. Being internationally exposed, Chan has taught in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong and Uganda.

Apart from lecturing for the professional programs, Chan is also conducting numerous CPD (Continuing Professional Development) program and as well as Train the Trainer Program (TTT) for several professional bodies in several ASEAN countries.

He has been providing training to the academician of several public universities in the preparation of delivery of professional qualification program as well as consultation on the development of course curriculum in acclaiming exemptions from the professional bodies.

He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in English and Wales. Last but not least, he is registered mentor of the ACCA Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project.

Chua Sing Ping

MBA, BBus

Sing Ping holds an MBA (International) from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Business with a major in Finance and minor in Economics from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia.

She was from PwC with vast experiences of the corporate world specialising in taxation works including business advisory, consultations and troubleshooting involving multinational companies, foreign owned companies, and public listed companies.

She has lecturing experiences of more than 10 years. She is mainly lecturing ACCA and CAT courses as well as degree programs. She specializes in lecturing ACCA Paper P6 (MYS) – Advanced Taxation, ACCA F6 (MYS) – Taxation, FTX (MYS) – Foundations in Taxation (MYS) and Economics for degree programs.

Dr. Christine Yap Yee Ming

PhD, MSc, FCCA, CA (M)

Christine has 12 years of industrial working experience, including holding positions such as Finance Manager and Accounting Manager in foreign MNCs. She has 18 years of teaching experience in Bachelor Degrees and Professional Certificates such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia and ICAEW in Malaysia, Singapore and China.

Her expertise is Strategic Business Reporting, Strategic Business Leader, Strategic Management Accounting as well as Financial and Management Accounting. Christine holds a Professional Accounting Certificate from ACCA, a Master’s Degree (major in Economics & Finance) from The National University of Singapore (NUS) and a PhD in Accounting from the University of Putra Malaysia (UPM).

She is a Fellow of ACCA United Kingdom and Chartered Accountant of Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA). Christine also provides Train the Trainer workshops in China and corporate training on IFRSs in Malaysia including Jabatan Akauntan Negara (JANM).

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eddy Yap

PhD, MSc, FCCA, CA (M)

Dr. Eddy Yap is the Founder and Managing Consultant of CONDUCTIVITI Business Advisory Sdn Bhd, a strategic and operational advisory firm that assists clients in achieving their corporate objectives by precisely diagnosing pain points, addressing root causes, and overseeing recovery through methodologically sound techniques.

He is an Accredited Trainer for various regulatory and professional bodies, having trained and facilitated professionals and executives across all levels. Dr. Eddy Yap is also an Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong Malaysia and a Visiting Academic at several international institutions.

With over 25 years of experience spanning corporate, operational, and academic sectors, Dr. Eddy Yap holds professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant (Malaysia), Chartered Certified Accountant (United Kingdom), and Certified Internal Auditor (United States), and holds a PhD in Finance. His teaching approach focuses on the practical aspects of accounting and finance, enabling participants to grasp, internalize, and apply concepts effectively.

Additionally, he is recognized as a Productivity Champion (Leader Category) by the Malaysia Productivity Corporation and is an ELITE Fellow of Universiti Malaya.

Harkiran Singh Wathan

MBA (Leicester), LL.M (UM), LL.B(Hons) (London)

Harkiran Wathan has a double Masters – Master of Law (LL.M) from University of Malaya and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Leicester, UK. He also has Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LL.B (Hons.)) from University of London, UK.

He has more than 20 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level. He has lectured and taught in various universities including Asia-Pacific University (APU/APIIT), University of Malaya (UM), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Wawasan Open University (WOU) and Open University Malaysia (OUM).

He has also conducted training in the area of “Banking Operations and BAFIA (Banking & Financial Institutional Act 1989)” at iCIMB which is a subsidiary of CIMB Bank. He has also been a speaker at MATRADE’s seminars. He has conducted seminars in the area of “Business Law in today’s Globalized and Internet Era” and “Export Trade Disputes” at MATRADE.

Kok Shwu Jiun

fCCA

Shwu Jiun has been involved in tax services under an ACCA Approved Employer after completing her ACCA studies. She then decided to switch her profession to academic sector, as being an educator is what she always wished to do.

With her experience dealing with both individual and corporate clients, she believes that practical experience and real-life examples are the perfect teaching tools. She is committed in creating a stimulating and encouraging classroom atmosphere to her students.

Lau Ee Mei

ICSA

Ee Mei is an experienced cost and management lecturer who has been teaching the cost and management subjects for more than 20 years. Providing students with full understanding on the topics is always her concern.

She had managed to assist her students in winning the world prizes for these two subjects in LCCI. Her dedication and commitment in lecturing has made her one of the favourite lecturer who maintains a good relationship with her students.

Lee Tze Yang

ACCA, CA(M)

Tze Yang is an experienced and dedicated lecturer with more than 4 years of lecturing experience. He specializes in teaching the ACCA papers on Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA), Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) as well as Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA).

Apart from maintaining a high pass rates among his students for the ACCA exams, his notable achievement includes producing a student who scored Malaysia number one in the subject Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) in the ACCA September 2021 sitting.

Prior to becoming a lecturer, Tze Yang works in one of the Big 4 accounting firms and he has experience in areas involving accounting, auditing, taxation and payroll. He is also involved in providing consultation and advisory services to both corporate and individual clients. His practical experience has enabled him to simplify complicated concepts which allows students to easily understand the relevant subject matters and apply the knowledge in exam.

Tze Yang is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Malaysia Institute of Accountant (MIA).

Ng Kian Tuck

CA (M), MBA

Mr. Ng Kian Tuck is a Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA), and a graduate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. He holds a Master in Business Administration conferred by Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. He is also an Oxford Brookes University’s registered mentor and a certified HRD Corp trainer.

Mr. Ng has been exposed to various fields and industry through the employment in audit firm over seven years, mainly on corporate reporting, tax audits and trainings. Due to his passion in training, and in order to pursue higher achievement, Mr. Ng left audit practice some years ago to go full-time in professional training and education.

He is a lecturer for professional accountancy programs such as ACCA, AIA for more than 10 years. He conducted seminars and workshops on accounting and auditing related topics in various universities, colleges, and large corporations like Petronas and Sime Darby. Mr. Ng had trained more than a thousand students and employees over the years.

Mr. Ng believes that education and personal development is the key to changing lives of the next generation. As a person who enjoys learning, Mr. Ng has a passion to share knowledge and experience so that he can be inspired by his philosophy.

Nicholas Chua

FCCA, CA(M)

Nicholas graduated from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management & Technology majoring in Accountancy. He is currently pursuing his Master Degree in Putra Business School (PBS), majoring in Master in Corporate Governance.

Nicholas specializes in risk management, corporate governance & business analysis in the corporate world. He is dedicated to share his corporate experience towards student success and coaches them on relevant exam techniques in professional exams.

Nicholas Lim

FCCA, CA(M)

After completing his ACCA qualification in 2003, Nicholas Lim has been involved in audit and assurance services for several years. Besides audit, the job has exposed him to various assignment in the field of accounting, tax etc encompassing different industries listed on the Bursa Malaysia.

In 2008, Nicholas decided to switch to lecturing. Ever since, he has the opportunity to share his vast experience in some of Malaysia’s biggest private institution ranging from diploma, degree to professional courses. His notable achievement includes producing world 1st prize winner in CAT and ACCA. His experience is invaluable and with real case studies to present to his students, it has been so much easier for them to understand.

Tan Siu Mae

BSc in Economics & management

She has 19 years of lecturing experience in LCCI, ACCA and A-levels, as well as 21 years of private tutoring experience in Accounting, Economics and English. With her vast teaching experience, excellent communication skills, approachable and empathetic personality, you will find the learning process to be beneficial and interesting.

Edan Tham Kian Tung

FCCA

Edan has been involved in audit services under one of the Big 4 Audit Firms after completing his ACCA studies. He then decided to switch her profession to academic sector, as he felt that being an educator is where he can find his value and it is also something that he wished to do.

He also has experience in dealing with corporate clients as well as colleague from different backgrounds, he believes all these practical experience and real-life examples are something that he can share with the students and students can therefore benefit from these experiences. He is committed to create a lively and encouraging classroom atmosphere as he believed that this is the environment where everyone can learn and absorb all the knowledge.

Shamala Sukerathavan

FCCA

Shamala started her career in a small to mid-sized accounting/audit firm, which provided her excellent insights into the practical aspects of preparing financial statements. She oversaw the end to end accounting process in respect of her clients. She then progressed her career with a major MNC and this gave her an excellent perspective on financial management i.e. budgeting, treasury operations, management information systems, etc.

Shamala has always had a deep personal interest in education and in 2001 opted to leave the financial and accounting career for academia. As a lecturer with over 18 years of experience, Shamala is a strong advocate of active learning i.e. class discussions with element of real-life commercial scenarios that encourages interest in the subject matter rather than purely academic approach. This includes emphasis of past examination questions focusing on application of the accounting standards and principles rather than mere knowledge of the principles. Her ultimate goal for her students is to develop them into all rounded professionals.

For the last 15 years, she has been heavily involved in lecturing the ACCA as well as accounting undergraduate final accounting examination paper and her continued interest to teach this paper ensures she keeps abreast with financial accounting standards and the most recent pronouncements guiding the accounting profession. As an experienced lecturer she brings invaluable know how on examination techniques, critical to preparing students to excel in both the undergraduate and professional examinations.

Seetha Shanmugavel

FCCA, Masters in finance

Ms. Seetha has nearly a decade of teaching experience for several professional accountancy qualifications with a specialized focus on financial management, financial planning and strategic business management.

She has also obtained several teaching certifications from international educational services companies that provide educational and training services to colleges, universities, businesses and individuals around the world under their ‘Train the Trainer’ programs. Ms. Seetha was a two-time invitee as a guest speaker and panelist for the Power Hour Talk organized by ACCA in 2023 and 2024.

She has also taken a lead role as a subject matter expert for the papers taught and conducted in – house training to several of her colleagues at her previous academic institution. Coupled with her knowledge and insights from her work experiences in investment banking and one of the premier accounting firms, Ms. Seetha has much to offer to her students.

Tan Vooi Giap

CA, FCCA, FCIS AIDPM, PGCert (UCLA)

Tan has earned high student evaluations with his innovative and effective teaching techniques.

His students enjoy his concise user-friendly slides which are written in simple English. They include mnemonics and visual images of movie characters. His students have achieved high pass rates and won several ACCA top affiliates and subject prizes.

Tan was a Lee Foundation scholar and a dual ICSA World Prize Winner. He brings 30 years of international corporate and cross-cultural experiences to share in the classroom. He has taught extensively on case studies and now teach Strategic Business Leader. Previously, he was chief financial officer and/or director at 3 public listed companies. His passion for teaching was enhanced by a brief training stint at BPP in United Kingdom. In another life, he was national chess captain.

Teo Yung Chian

ACMA, CGMA, CFE, CA (M)

Teo graduated from the Athlone Institute of Technology (Ireland) with a master degree in business. He is the associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

He has been a volunteer teacher for a Paris-based online educational institution to facilitate student for SAT exam preparation. He is passionate in teaching and has been tutoring Business Mathematics foundation subject, secondary school and primary school students. Besides, he is also a freelance writer of Standard 4 KSSR-Semakan study materials for an online educational institution. He is currently a freelance script marker for the marking team of an UK-based CIMA tuition provider.

Besides, he is also one of the advisory panels of CIMA Young Leaders which is a non-profit organization that focuses on creating meaningful relationships with members ranging from university accounting/finance students to young professional and executives.

Wong Paik Wan

FCCA, CA(M), ACTIM

Paik Wan has more than 10 years of practical experience in the audit and assurance services and commercial sector and is exposed in the fields of financial accounting, financial management, secretarial practices, and taxation as well as other areas of management including human resources.

In 2003, she made a career change and decided to venture into the academic world. She lectures in financial accounting and taxation for professional courses i.e. CAT and ACCA. She has also been trained in accelerated learning methods.

With her valuable corporate experience, she has managed to keep her lectures interesting with facts and real-life work-related scenarios. Paik Wan is a caring, friendly, committed and dedicated lecturer. She possesses a great passion for teaching and caring demeanor towards her students.

Paik Wan is a Fellow Member of The Association of Chartered Certificate Accountants (FCCA), an Associate Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (ACTIM) and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (CA).

She is also the registered mentor of the ACCA Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project. Under her mentoring process, she is able to enhance students’ learning skills and knowledge to complete the research and analysis project report successfully.

Yap Wai Wing

C.A(M), FCCA (UK), MBA

Yap is a Chartered Certified Accountant based in Malaysia, a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and recognized as a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He holds a Master of Business and Administration.

With a strong passion for audit, Yap has been actively involved in both practical and educational roles. Since 2017, he has been lecturing on audit topics, nurturing over 300 graduates including prize winners. In his practical work, he collaborates with audit firms, providing consultation and advisory services related to audit engagements.

In addition to his teaching, Yap has been invited as a trainer by professional examination bodies, where he has trained hundreds of university lecturers on effectively delivering professional papers.
